Manufacturer of all kinds of air injection industrial parts in different capacities from 100 cc to 15 liters
Air molding or blow molding is one of the types of plastic molding methods used to make bottles and hollow products. In this method, the hot polymer is shaped by applying pressure to the plastic injection mold and takes the shape of the mold. In the rest of this article, we will explain about the methods of air molding.
BLOW MOLDING method
♻️ The process of air molding is very similar to the methods of making bottles and glass containers. The reason for using this method is to make hollow containers.
♻️ The work process in this method is that a molten plastic tube is extruded into the injection mold. And then compressed air is blown into the polymer tube, so that the melted polymer sticks to the walls of the mold, and then the mold is cooled so that the polymer is molded.
There are three ways to do this:
1- Air injection molding
2- Air extrusion molding
3- Air injection stretch molding
Injection Blow Molding
This method is highly accurate and is used for the mass production of disposable containers of medicines. In this method, the initial preform is produced from molten plastic granules using the plastic injection process, and then air is blown into it in the main mold to take the shape of the mold. By using injection molding, the thickness of the work walls can be precisely controlled. did But the disadvantage of this method is that in addition to the final mold of the product, another mold is needed to make the preform of the product.
This procedure is performed in three stages:
♻️ injection
♻️ blowing
♻️ ejection
♻️ air molding
Extrusion Blow Molding
Using this method, the molten plastic raw material is extruded from the top of the mold, and then the mold is closed, and compressed air is blown into it, so that the raw polymer takes the shape of the mold. This process is done in two ways:
Continuous extrusion molding: In this method, plastic granules are extruded continuously to produce the initial piece.
Intermittent extrusion molding: In this method, first the thread The top of the part is created, and then the initial part is created by plastic injection.
Injectable Injectable Inflatable Molding (Stretch Blow Molding)
This method is very similar to blow molding, which is used to mass produce beverage bottles. By using this method, bulky parts can be produced without design limitations. But using this method has a high cost and its devices take up a lot of space. But it is possible to sell the preform of the piece separately to PET factories.
